How much time do you need for a day? Do you wish to have more time for a day? If you do not have enough time, what would be the best possible problem?
If you want to know a revelation about time, it is this. Everyone, it does not matter if you are a CEO of a listed company or the fellow sweeping the floor, has 24 hours a day.
If a CEO of a listed company has the ability to get so many things done within 24 hours, why can't you? Someone even said, the busiest person on earth actually has time to do everything.
It is all about time management.
Time is very valuable to all of us. It is even more valuable than money. Ask yourself this question. Would it be easier for you to give money or give time? If you need to save the time, you would not mind paying extra for time.
Since time is so valuable to everyone of us, what are the best ways to manage your time? Here are a few things you can do.
Do It Now Procrastination is the number one killer of success. You know you should do it, you know you need to do it but you keep putting it off. "I'll do it later".
When you need to write a 200-page report, you get yourself prepared like cleaning the table, getting a hot coffee, wear the most comfortable shirt, have the best working environment and finally said, "I'll do it tomorrow!".
Does that sound familiar to you? Why is this happening? It is because human being rarely think by logic. They are often driven by emotion.
The difference that makes the successful people to get so many things done is that, they choose to do it anyway. They do feel overwhelmed too but they choose to bring down the great wall and once they have done that, their motivation comes.
Plan Ahead Often when you do not have a plan, you will be driven by unnecessary tasks. This means you will be wasting a lot more time doing things that are not related to the final outcome you desire.
It is like building a house without having a floor plan. You can simply build a house without planning on how you want to have it built. If you do, the chances are you will find a lot of errors and eventually you will spend a lot more time correcting your mistakes.
It is the same in everything that you do in life. Before you start a business, before you market a product or even before you go for a holiday. If it is not planned, the chances are your journey can be adventurous yet time wasting.
Consequence of Not Having Time Management This works really well and this only happens to people who realize that they need more time and improvement. Some people just do not think they need more time.
What did it cost you in the past when you did not plan your time well? Maybe you kept putting an assignment off until the very last minute of the submission date. Maybe you could be thinking there is still a plenty of time left and you do not see the need of starting to work on the project yet.
As a result of it, you did not score in your assignment or your manager rejected the project you have done because it was not of the quality one.
When you know what it has cost you to lose, you will begin to use your time more effectively and eventually you will waste no time in everything that you do.

Integrity: Doing What is Right BECAUSE It is the Right Thing to Do
Integrity is: Doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do.
Integrity is NOT: simply standing by your own ideals just to be rigid.
The dictionary defines integrity as: Adherence to a strict moral or ethical code.
Adherence to strict moral and ethical reasoning is different than sticking by something you just believe in solidly or choose for you desires. Moral and ethical codes have within them a sense that these ideal transcend individualized agendas and instead are codes which apply to a wider group than just yourself.
Why do I bring up integrity ? Because all to often we get so focused on our own agenda, our own goals that we forget to take time to verify if we are doing "what is right" along the way.
Becoming wealthy can be quite a noble venture-- especially when the one becoming wealthy plans on using that wealth to assist others. But, gaining wealth my dishonesty, or any other means of compromising ones character, does not justify the end result.
An example of living on target for integrity's sake is : Andrew Carnegie. Andrew Carnegie became America's richest immigrated citizen after years and years of hard work. At age 65 he sold his company and devoted his remaining years to giving away his wealth. He funded the building of over 2,000 libraries within the English speaking world. And gave away somewhere close to $350 million total to those needing various forms of assistance.
One reason I like Andrew Carnegie: he was honest about hard work. He was once interviewed and asked if he had ever had a clue his life would turn out the way that it had. His response was something to the effect that had he known all that lay before him -- he might never have been able to get up on any given day. BUT you see-- he did get up. And he did what was before him each and everyday, for the right reasons and to the best of his ability.
Again, integrity means doing the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do.

Sepanjang sejarah Malaysia daripada era klasik (1400) hingga kepada era selepas merdeka (1960-2000), Islam telah menjadi force utama yang membawa perubahan kepada masyarakat Melayu. Merujuk kepada politik hukum1 dan pengubalan dasar awam di Malaysia2, fungsi Islam ini tidak terhad kepada pengamalan ritual semata-mata tetapi turut menjadi inspirasi and mekanisme utama yang diterapkan ke dalam sesuatu dasar awam. Hal ini antara lainnya boleh dikesan dari pengenalan Dasar Penerapan Nilai-nilai Islam di dalam pentadbiran negara yang kemudiannya diikuti dengan pelbagai program Islamization, yang membuahkan hasil yang cukup memberangsangkan di dalam pelbagai dimensi;
1. penerapan nilai-nilai Islam di dalam jentera pentadbiran kerajaan;3
2. pembaikian terhadap sistem perundangan Negara yang lebih bersesuaian dengan prinsip- prinsip Islam;4
3. Penambahbaikan pelbagai agensi yang berkaitan dengan Islam,5
4. pengubalan dasar pendidikan negara yang lebih bersesuaian dengan semangat Islam6;
5. penerapan nilai-nilai Islam di dalam organisasi politik masyarakat Melayu7;
6. pengenalan dasar domestic and luar negara yang lebih bersimpati dengan masyarakat Islam8
7. penubuhan pelbagai institusi keislaman bentuk baru, seperti Bank Islam, UIAM, Takaful, LUTH and banyak lagi.9
Kejayaan program Islamization yang bersifat holistic ini antara lainnya berpunca dari
(i) keterbukaan dan komitmen pihak kerajaan (actor politik) yang menerima pandangan ataupun desakan daripada NGO Islam dan
(ii) perancangan yang bersistematik yang disusun oleh pihak kerajaan, seperti penubuhan Badan Perunding Islam yang terdiri daripada pelbagai pakar Islam dari dalam and luar negeri.10
Selepas kemenangan majority pihak kerajaan dalam Pilihanraya 2004, sekali lagi slogan and dasar Islam yang mirip kepada dasar Islamization ini telah ditimbulkan, dengan nama Islam Hadhari – yang cuba memperkukuhkan dasar lama dengan pendekatan baru; menerapkan elemen proaktif bagi melahirkan tamadun Malaysia yang lebih berteraskan nilai-nilai Islam.

Mental Health
It would appear that at some point after World War I, real mental health became something of a luxury. The absence of any real mental disease like schizophrenia or dementia certainly is not an indicator of complete mental health any longer. The boom in knowledge of human psychology that began in the 1960s has made that eminently clear.
Truthfully speaking, even basic functionality can no longer be automatically assumed for a human being living in the present age. There are an unprecedented number of Americans and Europeans undertaking psychotherapy today – what started off as a fad now seems to have become a necessity of daily living. The pressures of the rat race are overwhelming. The number of situations and triggers for mental disorders has multiplied significantly. The stress levels are extremely high.
We are, therefore, reduced to defining acceptable mental health in very broad terms. A certain degree of aberration is to be expected in almost every post-modern human being. Reasonable mental health will, therefore, have to be defined by the lack of gross disorders. A good standard for judging this would be the one apparently employed by health insurance companies, who are reluctant to pay for mental disorders that do not result in complete breakdown of normal life for the individual.

Move Forward
Does life seem to be losing its zest? Do you seem to be going round in circles? Then, you have got to read this!
I am positive that in the past few months in 2006, you have made enormous progress! But still, are you satisfied? Between, your present and your dream future, how far do you perceive you are from it? Well, if you are pretty close, I congratulate you! If not, then you have to MOVE FORWARD! Advance! No military formation has ever been known to overrun new territories by staying at home! You need to move on!
But then, where exactly is forward? As we differ in our life assignments, so does forward differ to us all. Forward is that place which is closer to your dream destination in life! Forward is where and what God is directing you to go and to do to enter into the next dimension of relevance with respect to your purpose in life! Why? From Him (i.e. God) comes direction, uplifting and promotion! (Isaiah 48:17; Psalms 48:2; Psalms 75:6,7).
Now, as you move forward, do not complain! Do not contend with other people’s places! (Deuteronomy 2:2-23). You have a place! Does not every star shine in the night sky without obscuring the other? How can a man, institution or system be a threat to your progress? You are more than that! (Romans 8:27). That you were born means you have a place in life! (Deuteronomy 2:24-37). You shall succeed! You shall BE! Friend, move forward! Advance! Press on! Take your place! I choose to meet you at the top! Take charge! Maximise life! Just BE!

Self Help - 10 Things to Beat Negativity

Negative people. They're like vampire bats which suddenly come out of nowhere and just suck the life out of you. You try to stay positive but their negativity ends up just completely eating away at you, you feel exhausted, you feel spent and you may also start to feel negative too.
So what can you do about it? One of the first things to do is to be aware of who the negative people are in your life. You have to stay on the look out for them. This may not be as easy as you first think. You are going to really have to pay attention.
There are probably a lot of people in your life that are actually energy sucking human beings. When you are around them you experience a lot of ill feelings like unease, constriction. You will naturally feel unsafe and they will start draining your energy because that's what negativity does.
Pay attention to what people are saying. Is it always about how bad things are? Do they just pick out the worst and complain, never actually doing anything about all the terrible things that they bring to everyone else's attention?
Now that you know who and what to look for here are a few things you can do to protect yourself against them.
1. What is really bothering them? Do you understand why this person is the way they are? Is it because they hate their job, hate their marriage, feel trapped in their life or do they hate themselves so much that they feel the need to take it out on other people? Some people really do want to make you feel as rotten as they do. Some people may see it as a way to get attention. It is like my dad told me "The popcorn gets the butter." They may think that if they whine and cry enough somebody may notice them...ahh poor baby. Negativity is a reflection of ones self..that doesn't have to be you.
2. Turn the cheek and walk away When the negativity starts just turn your cheek and walk away. Just go and find something else to do, something positive. You will totally be turning a positive into a negative there. Don't let the negative person start to churn your emotions. The stirring of emotions is what is so draining. Have you ever had a huge argument with a spouse, friend or family member? Do you recall how draining it is on you?
3. Go away in your mind Some times you may not be able to get away from it at all. But, just because you are there doesn't mean you have to be there. Take a trip in your mind when the negativity starts. As men we have pretty much mastered this technique when talking to our wives so why not do it when someone is telling you a sob story. Really, that's why we perfected the method. When they are done you can come back. Usually I spend a couple of more days on the beach.
4. Think about something funny So you have this person whether intentionally or not are trying to bring you down. Sometimes I like to fight this with little Martians attacking them while they are talking to me. Not big nasty Martians but the little guy from Bugs Bunny. Yes, I know it sounds stupid but it sure does make me laugh. Imagine what ever you want but be careful if she is good looking...remember eyes above the neck boys.
5. Maybe it is time to find different people? Sometimes you just have to cut the cord. If somebody is sucking the life energy out of you it may be time to find someone else to talk to or confide in. If it is a spouse, it may be time to get some counseling and let them know how it bothers you. Believe me though, if it is anyone else you don't need them. There are a lot of positive people out there you could spend you time with.
6. Don't let them bully you? Negativity can come from a lot of different directions. I once worked at car dealership where everyone was so mean to each other. Now, I can take a joke and I can make a joke but these guys were brutal. It didn't bother me at all but I could tell some of the guys really go beat down by this behavior. If you are in one of these kinds of situations then there a couple of actions you can take. One, you can stand up for yourself. If it upsets you let them know it but be fore warned, if they smell blood it could be nasty. The other, move on and find a more enjoyable place to be.
7. Don't be the listener Some people think that listening to others problems is a good character trait. I have dated women in the past that make the claim "I am a good listener" GREAT your a negativity pin cushion. Now I am not being insensitive at all. When people sit down to tell me a sob story I always ask "Can I respond to this?" I will always give advise and tell you how I feel. If you don't want me to release then I don't want to hear it. The way I see it, if they have problems then they need answers. If they don't need answers then they just want to bring me down.
8. Say something positive This may be my sarcastic side but I like messing with negative people by killing them with kindness. If someone goes into a negative conversation I say things like "I love you" or "Your a beautiful person." This doesn't sound real funny but I am 6'2 and 240 lbs..it is pretty funny coming from a man of my stature.
9. AMP (Ain't My Problem) Don't be the person that has to fix everybody. If you feel the need to fix people you very well could have some issues of your own. Everyone is responsible for their own lives. One persons problems don't have to become your as well. Fixing people means you have to take in their own negativity and that will just pistol whip you.
You don't have to be rude about it but just tell them you don't have time right now and maybe you can talk to them a little later. By then they will have already found someone else to suck the life out of. Better them then you right? Remember, you don't owe anything to anybody but you so don't fall into the guilt trap...just walk away.
10. Don't slip, stay positive The best way to kill negativity is with positives. Stay up beat and maybe they will pick up on it. Negativity breeds negativity but being positive does the same exact thing but you just need a heavier dose of it.
Remember There will always be negative people around you and you will never get away from it totally but just being able to identify it you will be able to react to it. It is just one more step to evolution.

Relationship - Happiness Is Not For Asking
Happiness is the primary need of all of us. All of us want to be happy and avoid pain. The beginning of any relationship also depends upon how happy we are with each other. But we also derive happiness from what we achieve on our own. An engineer is very happy when designs something very well. So is a homemaker who she manages to cook something that is loved by every family member. We all derive happiness in many ways. Sometimes making others feel happy makes us happy. Sometimes walking amongst and marveling at the nature makes us happy.
Some people are very happy playing with children. Everybody has something, which makes him/her happy. How do you feel happy? What makes you happy? I feel happy if my clothes are right. If anything goes wrong with my clothes, I feel very unhappy. We all have such fancies and these fancies make us human. This way people get happiness in many ways.
What if we begin depending on our partner to make us happy? How does that affect our relationship? 'If you buy me good presents, I feel happy. If you take care of my emotional needs, I am happy. If you show that you love me, I am happy. My happiness essentially depends on how you make me happy. It is your duty to do that. If you are not making me happy, you are erring. You are breaking the relationship. You are running away from your responsibility.' What if somebody takes this attitude?

Some people are very happy playing with children. Everybody has something, which makes him/her happy. How do you feel happy? What makes you happy? I feel happy if my clothes are right. If anything goes wrong with my clothes, I feel very unhappy. We all have such fancies and these fancies make us human. This way people get happiness in many ways.
What if we begin depending on our partner to make us happy? How does that affect our relationship? 'If you buy me good presents, I feel happy. If you take care of my emotional needs, I am happy. If you show that you love me, I am happy. My happiness essentially depends on how you make me happy. It is your duty to do that. If you are not making me happy, you are erring. You are breaking the relationship. You are running away from your responsibility.' What if somebody takes this attitude?
Such an attitude will surely make your partner very unhappy and will kill the relationship soon. Happiness is a two way street. Make him/her happy and give him/her a chance to make you happy. Let both of you show care for each other. Before asking for happiness from others, we must learn to feel happy ourselves.

Learning Spanish Part Fourteen - Memory Part II
What exactly is happening when we grow old and begin to suffer those "Senior Moments" seems to be a deficit in two issues of memory functioning:
1) a slowing of the ability to use that area of the brain best suited for memory processing, and
2) what seems a refusal to use memory techniques and training appropriate for reversing memory losses in those areas of the brain we used to use when we were younger.
When we were younger and had a memory task to accomplish, our brains would select almost instantly the preferred region of the brain for memory processing. As we grow older and begin to suffer memory deficits, our brains are NOT using the preferred regions for memory processing but other regions not as effective for memory processing.
However, it is now possible, using proper memory training technique, to more fully access the preferred region of the brain for effective memory tasks at levels closely approximating that of young adults.
The specific memory issue with aging adults seems to be with the short-term memory. An older adult, for example, can recount a story that happened twenty years previously but cannot recall to whom he's already told the story. However, this does not appear to be an issue of concentration or attention but, rather, an issue of distracting influences.
Studies from The University of California at Berkley, using Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, show for the first time that memory problems are due more to trying to filter though irrelevant information than a problem of focusing on the information that is relevant.
In other words, just focusing on the information the older adult is trying to recall isn't enough. He also has to filter out the irrelevant information that is distracting. The problems with filtering through the distracting information may be what is the root cause of memory problems that too often accompany aging.

Moving Forward in Life
What does it take to move forward in life? One of the key things needed to move forward is the ability to focus. The mind must be clear about what it needs to focus on. There are times when it is critical to focus on what is taking place at that time. My advice is to focus on what is most important or that appears to be the priority. If you do not focus on what is most important; you could be in real trouble in the near or not to distance future.
Another key point to moving forward in life is having the ability see success. If someone is unable to see success then they may never feel inspired to seek greater achievements in life. There must be inside the heart something that enables one to see success. If we look at most people who have done well moving forward in life; we will see that they all had the ability to see success.
Moving forward in life, also involves the ability to unstick the mind. Sometimes life will deal us a blow that may cause us to become stuck or unmotivated. Instead of us standing our ground and lowering our shoulder, we feel like curling up and throwing in the towel. It is at these times that we must put on all our spiritual armor and prepare for battle. One battle at a time! One fight at a time! This is the kind of attitude we need to move forward in life.
Sometimes we need support when moving forward in life; it is a natural and sometime necessary fact of life. We are not alone on this planet. Let face it, we are all here to help each other, and the sooner we realize it, the better for everyone. We can move forward by helping each other pull on the support ropes of life.
As you move forward in life, occasionally look ahead to your next horizon. The next challenge you see will give you the drive to keep moving forward. Looking forward will hone your ability to achieve success. Keep moving forward.
